Address Linked to LaMar Facebook Hoax Doesn't Exist

A house in Saratoga mentioned in doesn't exist, according to Sgt. Jose Cardoza of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office.

"The street name does exist, however the street digits didn't correspond [to any house there]," he said.

Cardoza said Sheriff's patrol deputies went to look for the address the night of June 18, the same evening the post was made. They canvassed the neighborhood, asking residents if they knew anything about the posting or had information related to the 15-year-old's whereabouts.

"No one knew anything about Sierra or had any information related to the postings," Cardoza said.

LaMar was last seen the morning of March 16. Antolin Garcia-Torres, 21, of Morgan Hill .

Two postings were made the night of June 18 and early the morning of June 19 from what investigators believe is LaMar's hacked Facebook account.

The first shows an Instagram photo from a user with LaMar's name and her photo stating, “please call the police he’s coming back," along with the address for a Saratoga home.

In June 19's photo, the user identifies a man as her captor and asks that "someone call Breanna please." It continues to read "please someone call I have to go before he gets back..omg please."

The first post describes the house has having a red door, a detail deputies didn't find on any of the street's residences, Cardoza said.

The Sheriff's Office has enlisted the help of the Rapid Enforcement Allied Computer Team Task Force (REACT) to locate the person or persons who hacked LaMar's account and made the postings.

"REACT is investigating the incident and following up to identify the suspects in these latest hacking incidents," Cardoza said.

Sean Webby, media coordinator for the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office, said that the task force is looking into any and all possible leads.

As the investigation mounts, he said he anticipates few details gathered about the identity of the perpetrator or perpetrators, including their age and geographic location, will be released.

"My opinion is that the first time you hear about that information is if and when we file any charges," he said.
