Blossom Valley Wells Fargo Robbed at Gunpoint

Mountain View Police investigates the second robbery in less than two weeks at shopping center.

A man with a ski mask allegedly robbed a Wells Fargo Bank on Wednesday at gunpoint, police officials reported Thursday.

The subject entered the Wells Fargo at the Blossom Valley Shopping Center at around 3 p.m. on May 22 wearing a dark colored ski mask and with a dark colored gun, probably black, according to Mountain View Police Department spokesman Sgt. Sean Thompson.

The man demanded money and after he received an undisclosed amount, he exited the bank through the parking lot, Thompson said. However, the police couldn't locate him.

The subject has been described as a male, 5 feet 10 inches in height and medium built. He wore a dark colored jacket. His age couldn't be determined.

According to Thompson, there were employees inside the bank and the bank should have surveillance cameras.

This is the second time in less than two weeks that a robbery has occurred at the Blossom Shopping Center.

According to Thompson, on May 11 around 8:40 p.m. a subject with a dark colored sweatshirt entered the China Café and with a handgun demanded money. After he received the money he exited through the door on foot. When the police arrived they couldn't locate the suspect.

"There may be a connection, but we don’t know at this time," Thompson said about the two robberies.
