Flower Theft at Mtn. View General Store

A man allegedly walked off with potted plants from the Mtn. View General Store Tuesday, the store owner said.

According to Tina Ambrog, when she arrived at the store Wednesday, July 17, she noticed a flower bed with three plants that had been on a cinder block outside the store had gone missing.

Then she noticed a Gerber daisy that had been tucked in a corner also gone.

Video surveillance displayed a man who walked up to the store, located at 705A Dana St., empty-handed around 9:33 p.m. and then he walked off with something around 9:36 p.m.

"I feel disappointed and kind of bummed out that someone would do that,"
Ambrogi said. She posted the video to Facebook. "I know people do this kind of thing."

Since the theft, Ambrogi has added signs that read "no trespassing, you are on camera" and added a motion censor to activate the outside lights.

The Mtn. View General Store celebrated its sixth month anniversary on July 17th.
