Heavy Traffic Expected for Jason Aldean's Concert Wednesday, Warns Police

Country music show at Shoreline Amphitheatre could cause rush hour delays in Mountain View.

Cars and trucks along local expressways and Mountain View roads will be doing the two-step when Jason Aldean performs at , the police department warned today.

The country music singer will play to a sold-out crowd at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Juy 27. However, since the amphitheater parking lots open at 4:30 p.m., the Mountain View Police Department expects a lot of vehicular traffic as North Bayshore employees leave work and overlap with the early concertgoers.

"The MVPD expects about 22,000 concertgoers to start arriving around 4 p.m.," said Liz Wylie, the department's spokeswoman. "The worst of the traffic is expected to begin around 6 p.m."

Expect slow moving traffic on Highways 101, 85 and 237. Shoreline Boulevard and Charleston Road will likely also be affected.

If you do want to get to , , , or any of the other locations in that area, try parking on the other side of 101 and walking across.

Or if you have access to Stevens Creek Trail, bike up the trail and get off at the La Avenida entrance near the campus. It might be the perfect day for a bike ride.

Heading to Shoreline Park for a jog, bike or to hit a couple golf balls at the driving range? Consider going the back way down San Antonio Road to the Terminal Boulevard entrance.
