Highway 237 Ramp Closed, Reopened, from NB I-880

A garbage truck on fire blocked the connector ramp from I-880 to state Highway 237 for two hours, but was reopened shortly before noon.

 

A Sig-alert on northbound Interstate Highway 880 in Milpitas has been canceled after a garbage truck fire blocked a lane and a connector ramp to state Highway 237 for about two hours Saturday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The fire on the back of the truck was reported at 9:53 a.m. The alert was issued at 10:17 a.m. and was canceled at 11:49 a.m., according to the CHP.

The truck had pulled over, blocking one northbound lane and the connector ramp to Highway 237, which remained open despite the blocked access, according to the CHP.
