Local Business Opens Doors To MVPD K-9s

The Mountain View Police Department and local start-up RealScout partnered up last week to broaden community exposure for the department's K-9 officers.

Exposing the police  K-9s to a variety of environments benefits the handlers and the dogs.

"Whether it’s an alarm activation, or any other on-site critical incident, the additional on-site training is extremely helpful," said the department in a blog post here.

"We cannot thank the local business community enough for allowing us to utilize their facilities as training grounds, which generally takes place in the evening hours to limit impact on a company’s operations," the police said.
