Man Arrested for Public Masturbation in Mountain View

The arrested a man Wednesday for indecent exposure, a police official reports.

Rafael Marrero, 25 and resident of Los Angeles, entered a room at the at 2300 W. El Camino Real around 8:55 a.m. and allegedly began to masturbate in front of the female victim who cleaned the room, according to MVPD spokeswoman Liz Wylie.

The woman, 52 and resident of Palo Alto, reached for the phone and while she called her manager for help and Marrero left the room, added Wylie.

The victim then followed the suspect and saw him board a westbound VTA bus on El Camino Real, Wylie added.

"While the victim was following the suspect, the manager called 911," Wylie said.

In response, MVPD officers searched and found the bus with the alleged suspect. The victim and manager, who had remain at the hotel with other officers, provided a description that matched that of Marrero, Wylie shared.

According to Wylie, the suspect carried on him a Best Western comment card and his zipper was down.

"While in our custody, the suspect continued to touch his penis over his pants," Wylie said.
