More than 100 Arrested at Mountain View Rave

Most arrests were for drug offenses, police said.

More than a 100 people were arrested over the weekend at the Beyond Wonderland concert, the San Jose Mercury News reports.

Most of the arrests were at the annual Beyond Wonderland concert at Shoreline Amphitheater were drug-related involving the use of sale of Ecstasy, LSD, and GHB, the report said.

The annual two-day event attracted crowds of approximately 40,000.

As of Sunday night no major medical emergencies were reported.

Mountain View police were assisted by departments from neighboring Palo Alto, and Sunnyvale, the report said. Those arrested were transported to Santa Clara County Jail by Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies.

Bay Area raves have come under scrutiny in recent years. A Memorial Day rave at the Cow Palace in 2010 left two people dead of drug overdoses and later that year upwards of a dozen people attending the annual Mountain View rave fell ill, likely as a result of drug and alcohol use, the report said.
