Mountain View K-9 Credited in Major Pot Bust

Zeus helped the the Mountain View Police Department haul in over a 100 pounds of marijuana.

Zeus just got another squeaky toy.

The Mountain View Police Department K-9 unit has a closet full by now.

His most recent prize comes as a reward for a his role sniffing out a major marijuana bust.

Zeus helped police locate over 100 pounds of marijuana during a Tuesday morning warrant service in Santa Clara County, authorities said. He also found $75,000.00 in a safe and a baggie of cocaine.

The labrador is assigned to the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team (SCCSET).

His most recent bust is the latest addition to a prolific drug-sniffing resume that includes 912 grams of methamphetamine, 2,300 grams of marijuana, 210 grams of heroin, 200 ecstasy pills and 150 grams of cocaine.
