Project Cornerstone Kids Pick MVPD Officer 'Coop' as Their Role Model Champ!

Mentor, Explorer leader, motivator and "always there for all the kids."

Congratulations to Mountain View Police Department Officer Ron "Coop" Cooper for his selection as the 2014 Adult Role Model Asset Champion by Project Cornerstone.

Project Cornerstone works within the YMCA of Silicon Valley and with more than 200 community partners and schools to instill in youth the positive relationships, opportunities, and skills -- known collectively as "developmental assets" -- that provide the foundation for a healthy, successful future.

Some of Coop's biggest fans  -- the local teens -- compiled a videotape tribute thanking him for his support, inspiration and guidance.

Cooper says he's simply "giving back" to the community, as some folks did for him when he was young.
