Stolen Chiweenie Pitbull Puppy Returned to Police

The puppy was taken from a locked vehicle in Mountain View on Saturday.

A puppy that was taken from a locked vehicle in Mountain View Saturday has been returned, police said Sunday.

A resident of Mountain View returned the 9-week-old Uso, Chiweenie/pit bull mix, to the station in good shape, according to the Mountain View Police. The return appears to have been triggered by reports in local media and on social media web sites, they added.

On their Facebook page, the MVPD posted photos of "Uso" with Officer Guevarra.

"There was a lot of tail wagging and kissing going on in the station," the post said.

Uso had been taken Saturday from a locked vehicle on the 1300 block of Villa Street between 2:30 and 2:44 p.m.
