Traffic, Gun Salute, Fly Over at Military Funeral of Captain Matthew Manoukian

The Mountain View Police Department advises residents and visitors to avoid area around St. Francis High School on Miramonte Avenue around mid-afternoon.

With more than 1,000 people expected to attend the military funeral of Marine Captain Matthew Manoukian Saturday afternoon, police encourage residents to avoid the area near .

"We would also like for residents to be aware that this will be a traditional military funeral and will include a 21-gun salute as well as a military fly over," said Jaime Garrett, interim Mountain View Police Department spokeswoman.

The private funeral begins at 3 p.m. inside the school's gymnasium, according to the school's spokeswoman Holly Elkin. St. Francis is located at 1885 Miramonte Avenue.
