Animal Control and Synopsys on Council Agenda Tonight

The Mountain View City Council will hold a regular session that commences at 6:30 p.m. in their . The agenda is short and unless there's a lot of debate about the change in animal control services or increasing the floor area ratio on the new Synopsys development on Middlefield, this could be a quick evening.

  • The City's Community Development Department will present an adapted work plan on the Below-Market Rate fee charged to developers and suggestions on how the BMR fees can be used more efficiently to help the extremely-low income population in Mountain View.

  • Gatekeeper request for development at 690 E. Middlefield Rd. This development will be and the company hopes the city will allow it to double the project to 680,000 sq. ft. from 340,000 sq. that is from 0.5 floor area ratio (FAR) to 1.0 FAR.

New Business

  • Staff recommends that Council authorize the to terminate contract with Palo Alto Animal Services and contract with the Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority because it would save Mountain View funds.
