April 4 is Deadline to Enter Mtn. View's Family Parade

Annual downtown event is April 26. This year's theme: Sail into Summer.

The City of Mountain View is inviting residents to participate in the 36th Annual Downtown Family Parade on April 26, a family event that celebrates community spirit with a new theme each year.

Children, schools, clubs, and teams can participate and this year's theme is "Sailing into Summer." Parade colors will be navy and yellow.

The parade begins at noon on Castro Street at Villa Street and continues  into Pioneer Park for crafts, games, music and fun.

Post-parade celebrations will include food, games and entertainment at Pioneer Park until 3 p.m.

The parade is held rain or shine, and registration deadline is April 4.

Criteria to participate in the post parade activities (space is limited):
1.  Must be a non-profit organization
2.  Must be located in Mountain View
3.  Must provide an activity or craft for families
4.  Must provide a table for the activity or craft
