Biden to Discuss Guns on Google 'Fireside Hangout'

In the spirit of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt's fireside chats, the vice president will discuss with citizens in a real-time, virtual face-to-face platform.

Vice President Joe Biden will participate in a "fireside hangouts," to discuss the White House's gun control policies, Google announced Wednesday.

The hangout will take place on Thursday, January 24 at 1:45 p.m. ET (10:45 a.m. PT) and the topic will focus on how to reduce gun violence.

Biden will hangout for 30-minutes and other participants include Guy Kawasaki, Phil DeFranco and moderator Hari Sreenivasan from PBS NewsHour.

Users of Google+ can suggest questions and also tune in to watch the broadcast live on the White House's Google+ page or YouTube channel on Thursday.
