Caltrain Parking Fees Increased to $5

Last parking increase went into effect in 2011.

By Bay City News Service

Parking fees at Caltrain stations went up on Sept. 1 to $5 a day and $50 a month. The increase, approved as part of the 2014 operating budget, will help cover the increasing cost of maintaining parking lots, Caltrain officials said.

Growth in ridership in recent years has increased demand for parking at stations. Riders are encouraged to use transit options such as Samtrans and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority, which serves all Caltrain stations.

Parking fees last increased in 2006, 2009 and 2011.
