Changes to Most VTA Buses New for 2013

Minor weekday schedule adjustments affect many Valley Transit Authority buses, except Line 25, 61, 62 and 522—which will experience major changes.

If you take public transportation in the South Bay, here's some news from Valley Transit Authority that could affect your commute.

Effective Jan. 7, 2013 additional days or changes to the time schedule take place, some impacting bus lines in Mountain View.

According to VTA, Line 522—the express bus that travels El Camino Real from Palo Alto to the Eastridge transit center—will start at 8 a.m. on Saturdays and run until 7 p.m.

If you ride Line 52 from Moffett Field to De Anza College, in the northbound direction, the timepoint will be moved from Stevens Creek and Foothill Blvds. to Foothill Blvd & Cupertino Road. The southbound timepoint will remain at Stevens Creek and Foothill Blvd. Minor schedule changes will also be made.

Additional minor schedule changes will affect buses 32, 34, 35 and 120, all which transport people around and through Mountain View.

Newly-updated route schedules are available:

  • By phone at (408) 321-2300, TTY (408) 321-2330.  From the 650 area code and South Santa Clara County toll area please call (800) 894-9908.
  • In person at various transportation hubs throughout the county including: VTA’s Downtown Customer Service Center located at 2 North First Street in San Jose from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays; or VTA Administrative Offices located at 3331 North First Street in San Jose from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays.
