I'm Angie, A Homebody Who Prefers The Company of Older Adults
I am available for a $12 adoption, and would make an awesome addition to a senior's life.
Angie, a 10-year-old domestic long-hair cat, is available for adoption for just $12 at Palo Alto Animal Services as part of its annual "Home for the Holidays" program.
She is an indoor-only kitty and has been at the shelter since August when her former owner went into assisted living and could no longer care for her. Angie would fit well into a home with older adults.
Palo Alto Animal Services is among six shelters in Santa Clara County that hope to find homes for some 1,300 animals and are offering $12 adoption fees -- down from $90 to $120 -- for any adult cat or dog through Dec. 31.
The $12 fee covers all benefits such as spay or neuter surgery, microchip implantation and registration, vaccinations, defleaing and deworming and FIV/FeLV testing for cats.
Palo Alto Animal Services, 3281 E. Bayshore Road, is open for adoptions from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, except for holidays, and closed every other Friday. See its Facebook page here.
Other participating shelters are listed here.
