@Ron, it almost sounds like you just described our founding fathers while they drafted our Declaration of Independence - a document which was so radically 'liberal' that it became a revolution and was the foundation for the border-opening policy, Manifest Destiny. Be careful with crude words such as 'liberal' and 'conservative' - barbaric remarks like the one above are demonstrative of political and civil ineptitude and are a disgrace to the sophisticated values upon which our nation was founded.

Liberals like you always bring out the "civility" nonsense when you don't like an opposing view. It's no secret that liberals want another amnesty program. Reagan tried that in the 1980s and are the borders secure? No. I need to bring an AR-15 with me when I go to Yuma, Tucson, and other places along the I-8 corridor. What other developed nation in the world just allows anyone to come and stay illegally in their nation? How about the USA just adopts the Mexican immigration policy... that is we arrest and deport all illegals. Illegals from other South American nations don't get amnesty in Mexico.

To Ron & Tim: is it possible to actually have a conversation with either one of you? If so, would you care to explain how? The world is full of people who disagree with each other. Most people get along in spite of their differences. But the venom you're espousing with words like "self hating jew" or "AR-15" is alarming. Do you intend to harm someone? Should we be notifying the police? The people who came to the event last night represented a wide spectrum of views and perspectives. They actually were participating in our democracy. You hide behind your computer screen, not letting the world know who you are by not including your last name. What are we to think of this behavior? And who is your intended audience? Mountain View is an extremely diverse community. Or have you not noticed?

Thanks for not addressing any of my legitimate points and targeting me (pun intended) for my desire to have a firearm for lawful self defense in an area the federal government says is unsafe due to violent drug cartel operatives. I guess you care more about illegal alien drug trafficers armed with autmatic weapons than you do about the security of American citizens along the southern border. Can't say I'm surprised from a pro-amnesty, gun grabbing liberal.

Thank you for clarifying. I do not think a conversation can be had. Good night.
