Mayor for the Day

Mountain View Mayor had a shadow following him around today—literally.

Hafsa Mirza, a boardmember of the and parent of a Frank Huff student, won the opportunity to be "Mayor of the Day," after she bid on it as an auction item at MVEF's gala.

So on Tuesday, June 12 she followed Kasperzak around. They met with a Chinese delegation visiting the city, then went to the dedication of the Permanente Creek Trail extension, and then sat through a three hour study session and two hour City Council session.

Ironically, the real mayor left a little after 8 p.m. to catch a flight. So it was up to Mirza to adjourned the meeting.
