Labor Day Closures: Mountain View City Hall, Schools, Post Office

Police and emergency services will remain available; public transit agencies will operate on reduced schedules.

 

Mountain View City Hall will be closed Monday, Sep. 3 in recognition of Labor Day. City offices will reopen Tuesday, Sept. 4. Police, fire and other emergency services will be unaffected by the closure.

Library: The Mountain View Library will be closed Sunday, Sept. 2 and Monday, Sept. 3. It will reopen at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4.

U.S. Post Office: Closed Monday, Sept. 3; deliveries will resume Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Schools: All Mountain View schools will also be closed on Monday, Sept. 3; classes will resume Tuesday, Sept. 4.

Garbage and Recycling:  Pickups provided by Recology Mountain View will not be affected.

Public Transit:

Dumbarton Bridge: Motorists who are planning to drive to the East Bay over the Dumbarton Bridge should make other plans over the long holiday weekend. The bridge will be closed for seismic retrofit work starting at 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, and continuing until 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4.
