POLL: Obama Returns to Bay Area, Again

In his third trip in three months, the president continues to court the fundraising dollars in Silicon Valley.

If you missed President Barack Obama's visit through , cross your fingers—he may land at the local airfield on his next visit.

KCBS reports that Obama might return to the Bay Area for another fundraising trip on July 23rd. During his last trip on June 6th—he arrived and departed from SFO—the president raised $2 million; later that week media outlets reported that Republican presidential candiate Mitt Romney out-fundraised Obama $76 million to $60 million in the month of May.

According to the Federal Election Commission, as of July 4, approximately 235 Mountain View residents had donated $167,447 to the Obama campaign in 2011 and 2012. This compares to 21 who donated $20,256 to Romney.
