This Labor Day Caltrain, VTA Runs on Sunday Schedule

Trains and some buses continue to operate, but check the schedules carefully.

This Labor Day, consider taking public transportation to your festivities, but plan accordingly.

Both Caltrain and VTA buses and light rail will operate on a Sunday schedule.

Caltrain will operate 28 trains between San Francisco and San Jose plus four weekend Baby Bullets. Train service will not operate south of the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station, but a shuttle bus will be available between the Tamien and Diridon stations. The last southbound train of the day will leave San Francisco at 9:15 p.m.

Other VTA services will operate as follows:

  • No Service: Dumbarton Express, ACE Train/Shuttles and DASH, IBM/Hitachi
  • Sunday/Holiday Schedule: Highway 17 Express, MST 55 and Caltrain

In observance of the holiday, VTA’s administration offices at 3331 N. First St. in San Jose, along with the Downtown Customer Service Center at 2 N. First St. and the Call Center, will be closed Monday.
