Valley Transportation Holds 'Open House' Today in Mountain View

The Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is hosting "Open House" events in Mountain View today -- April 9 -- to provide updates on current transportation projects in north Santa Clara County.

Held at the Mountain View City Hall Council Chambers, 500 Castro St., the first is underway this morning until 10:30 a.m. The second session is this evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

VTA Bus Line 35 serves this location during the hours of both meetings, with additional bus service available two blocks away on El Camino Real and VTA Light Rail and Caltrain service available four blocks away at the Mountain View Transit Center.

The event offers an opportunity for members of the public to directly discuss with key project staff about the latest information regarding the following VTA projects:

•  Light Rail Efficiency Project/MV Double Tracking Project

•  SR 85 and US 101 Express Lanes

•  Bus Rapid Transit on El Camino Real

•  Bus and Light Rail Service in MV

•  Valley Transportation Plan 2040
