VIDEO: Shimon Peres' Motorcade

The president of Israel arrived quickly and quietly to Google on Wednesday afternoon.

Commuters leaving North Bayshore may not have been too inconvenienced this afternoon due to the swift arrival of in Mountain View this afternoon.

The motorcade, which arrived around 4:40 p.m. came across the Highway 101 overpass on Rengstorff Avenue and went straight into one of the buildings numbered 1900, 1950 or 2000 along Amphitheatre Parkway.

Officers with the Mountain View Police Department closed access to Rengstorff Avenue from both east- and westbound Charleston Road.

After a few minutes, traffic was allowed to resume. Mountain View Patch overhead that Peres might be in the area for about one hour. He was to meet with Google Co-Founder and President Sergey Brin.

Wow! Talk about a motorcade. That's got to be every MVPD officer and then some!

It sure does look like it, but a lot of those vehicles were California Highway Patrol, since Peres came down Hwy 101 from Palo Alto. I would have wanted to attend the private meeting ... but then I guess it would be private, huh?
