Whisman Bridge at Stevens Creek Trail to Close Temporarily for Maintenance

Pedestrians, joggers and cyclists should use alternate entrances from Tuesday, Aug. 25 to Thursday, Aug. 27.

The city of Mountain View will temporarily prohibit the use of the bridge at Stevens Creek Trail for most of three days next week, staff announced today.

In an advisory sent by the city manager's office, the bridge will be closed for maintenance from Tuesday, Aug. 25 to Thursday, Aug. 27 during the hours of 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The parks division will replace the decking material on the entire bridge.

Detour signs will be placed near the bridge to direct trail user to alternative entrances including the Creekside Park bridge and Moffett Boulevard. Those two entrance are probably the best for cyclists. However if you plan to walk or jog, there's a small official trail entrance on the southside of East Middlefield Road right off the Highway 85 overpass nearer to Easy Street.
