Cute Alert: Creativity Wins in School Pumpkin Contest

More than 30 kids entered Yew Chung International School of Silicon Valley's annual decorating contest. (Mountain View kindergartners won for "scariest" and "most beautiful.")

Halloween is over, true, and we've flipped the calendar to November. However, there's no statute of limitations on a super cute pumpkin decorating contest, is there? 

So with that we bring you a photo show from the annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest at Yew Chung International School of Silicon Valley.

More than 30 students at the Mountain View-based school tapped their creativity to design unique pumpkins for YCIS’s "Imagination Day."

Fellow students and teachers voted for the top pumpkins in such categories as "Silliest," "Most Beautiful," "Scariest" and "Most Original." 

"Imagination Day" is a tradition at the 11-year-old multicultural academy, and, along with the pumpkin fest, includes dressing as favorite book characters and activities for parents and families.
