Editor and publisher of GeekDad.com, author, and most importantly, dedicated father and husband Ken Denmead, will delve into the world of hands on fun for the family.  With the belief that in order to truly understand science and how something works you must design and build it yourself, Denmead discusses the best Do-It-Yourself projects, experiments, and weekend adventures that everyone can enjoy together.

The critically acclaimed GeekDad, the parenting blog for Wired Magazine’s online presence, receives over one million hits per month from inquisitive parents and kids alike in search of creative outlets.  It has been named one of Time Magazine’s best blogs of 2010.  In addition, Denmead is publisher of the companion blog, GeekMom, where he and others post projects, book and movie reviews, weekly podcasts, and more about being a parent and being a geek.  Denmead’s debut book, Geek Dad, was on bestseller lists and in its seventh printing just two months after hitting store shelves. With his next book about to launch, he keeps the science enthusiasm churning, with instructional projects such as how to build homemade robots.

Ken Denmead resides in the San Francisco Bay Area and works as a civil engineer.  He graduated from University of California, Davis with a B.A. in Civil Engineering.
