Salman Khan's online math and science videos continue to disrupt education and gain more followers.
This time around the Khan Academy's biggest fans are the Webby Award judges who gave the Mountain View-based non-profit educational site the top prize in its education category. They beat out the well-known and popular Ted Talks.
Other local winners include Intuit's Mint.com, which helps individuals manage their finances, and Google's new Art Project. Under the government website category, NASA took the top spot.
Newcomer received a People's Choice mention for social media. Pinterest won that category.
