She likes Freestyle because of its discussion-based structure and creative environment.

Even with Freestyle and 8 classes, Nikki is able to find time to get involved on campus. She is a part of Mock Trial club, where she serves as an attorney and defense team captain. She is also a co-president of the Sisters Club, which she's has been a part of for the last three years.

In Sisters club, older students mentor underclassmen to help make the transition into high school easier and less intimidating. Nikki is also a member or Broken Box Theatre Co., the audition-only acting class at Los Altos.

However, Nikki's involvement does not stop with school clubs. She is also a volunteer at AbilitiesUnited, an organization that helps teens with developmental disabilities integrate into society. She is currently working on making a documentary about the organization.

Nikki also volunteers at Kahrizak, a foundation that supports disabled youth in Iran.

In the future Nikki hopes to study visual communications or law at a top university in California. We wish Nikki the best of luck, and congratulate her on being chosen as the student of the month!
