MV Student Suffers Possible Drug Overdose on Stevens Creek Trail

Authorities suspect fairly new "psychedelic street drug" called "DOC" is to blame.

A high school student from Mountain View was found unresponsive Tuesday on the Stevens Creek Trail from a suspected drug overdose and transported to a local hospital, according to the Mountain View Police Department

The MV police are investigating the incident, along with the Santa Clara County Public Health, the Mountain View Los Altos High School District and local hospitals to identify similar incidents and trends.

The suspected drug used by the student was possibly “DOC” (2,5-Dimethoxy-ChloroAmphetamine) -- a fairly new psychedelic street drug, similar to LSD, and is a combination of hallucinogenic and amphetamine chemicals, police said.
