MVHS Student of the Month: Ashwin Jaini

The future scientist described as genuine, fun and smart, Ashwin Jaini loves to march to the beat of his own drum!

Congratulations to Mountain View High's December 2011 Student of the Month, Ashwin Jaini. The Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District provided this information to Patch.

Ashwin Jaini is one of those guys that you are truly blessed to have known.

His geniality is expressed by those around him when they tell you he is a very special guy.  Specifically, one of his friends, Becca Kuzinsky said, “Ashwin is one of those guys you just want to be around. He is fun, smart and very funny.”

First off, Ashwin’s academic excellence separates him from other students. He boasts an incredible 4.6 GPA that he has carried throughout high school. His favorite classes are Calculus BC, United States History AP and Biology AP. Ashwin’s enjoys the rigor and intensity that the classes present and also the way that the teachers make the material interesting.

As if his intense school work wasn’t enough, he also has been a four year member of Mountain View High School’s marching band, an AVID tutor, did track his freshman and sophomore years, and even got sponsored as a long boarder by Black Diamond Sports. Ashwin loves marching band and the fact that people bond to the extent where it truly is one big family (and I can attest to that J).

After high school, Ashwin aspires to get into Berkley and UCLA where he plans to major in biopsychology and work in research fields, such as pharmaceuticals, where he wants to pursue knowledge. Outside of academics, he wants to travel the world, especially around Europe.

He's inspired by his friends that are self-motivated and don’t succumb to peer pressure. This individuality is very important to him, and I can truly say Ashwin is one-of-a-kind.

And without further ado it is a great honor to present to you this month’s student of the month, Ashwin Jaini!
