Ready For Junior Olympics Saturday Morning?

A beloved tradition kicks off bright and early at 8 a.m. at Mountain View High School

Don't forget that Saturday morning is no time to sleep in this week.

Not with the Junior Olympics going from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mountain View High School.

The annual event is the opportunity to show off the skills learned in the district's physical education program for 4th, 5th and 6th graders from the seven elementary schools.

The students start with the Opening Ceremoney and procession under their school colors before proceeding to the nine events: the 1,320-yard distance run, 75-yard dash, 60-yard hurdles, 400-meter relay, basketball free throw, chin-ups, long jump, softball throw, 30-second jump rope.

Patch has published photos from last year's coverage just to start us off with some good memories.
