Tickets on Sale for Saturday's 'Taste of Mountain View' Education Fundraiser

It's all for a good cause, and the food will be really, REALLY good!

Saturday night is the Mountain View Educational Foundation’s Spring Gala & Auction -- "The Taste of Mountain View" - celebrating 30 years of supporting the local schools.

From 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at the Mountain View Senior Center, 266 Escuela Ave., the evening's tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the door, if available.

 A pre-gala event features Jim Wilting, speaking on Reading, Writing, and Metaskills: The Evolution of the Flexible Learner.

“The Taste of Mountain View” gala includes silent and live auctions, music, dancing and delicious food from some of Mountain View's best restaurants, including: 

Last year's gala raised more than $85,000 through sponsorships, admissions, raffle tickets and the live and silent auctions.

Since 1984, Mountain View Educational Foundation (MVEF) has worked in partnership with parents, the Mountain View Whisman School District, the community and businesses to raise money for essential K-8 programs no longer funded by the state and to provide a high-quality and well-rounded education for all our students.
