Tinyen Shih a Semifinalist for U.S. Physics Olympic Team
The Mountain View resident hopes to make the team of five to represent the U.S. at the International Physics Olympiad.

Mountain View resident and Menlo School senior Tinyen Shih has been named a semifinalist for the 2013 U.S. Physics Olympics Team.
Out of the group of semifinalists, 20 students will be chosen as finalists and attend a U.S. Physics Team Training Camp, nine days of intense studying, mystery lab, daily exams and problem solving.

Then, five students will be chosen to represent the U.S. at the International Physics Olympiad in Copenhagen, Denmark this summer.
