Top Changes at Crittenden Middle School

A new principal and assistant principal have replaced Karen Robinson and Alberto Verduzco, as the new leaders at the home of the Panthers.

For the 2012-13 school year, parents and kids must adjust for changes in the administration at .

The announced Monday that Arline Siam will become the new assistant principal and replace Albert Verduzco.

This is another addition at a school that lost Karen Robinson, the former principal who announced she would shift into the position of superintendent of administrative services, replacing Stephanie Totter, who retired after the 2011-12 school years.

To replace Robinson, the district brought in Geoffrey Chang as principal. Chang had been an assistant principal at the Lower Manhattan Community Middle School in New York City. He earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University, his masters degrees in special education and secondary social studies from Queens College and in educational leadership from Columbia University.

Siam, has taught for 15 years, and served as the District's teacher on special sssignment in support of English Language Learners programming for the past five years. She earned her Bachelors from San Francisco State University, credential from the College of Notre Dame and completed her masters in administration leadership from San Francisco State.
