Whiz Kid’s Accomplishments: Rahul has a remarkable 4.7 grade-point average and is truly passionate about his chemistry, physics and math classes. Although he has not settled on a college major yet, he says he hopes to pursue these subjects beyond high school, for sure. Rahul says his advanced skills in math, science and engineering are what draw him to the multimedia facilities on campus, where he loves to dabble in designing websites and computer animations, and audio engineering.

Rahul has served as the president of the Olympic Development Table Tennis Club (ODTTC) for two years and running, and organizes the widely famous and highly attended “ODTTC Championship” event each year. This year, he took top honors in the competition.

Rahul is also very excited about his travels with “Amigos de las Americas” this summer. This group works to bridge cultural barriers and build communities across the globe. This summer, Rahul will travel to Costa Rica and stay with a host family for seven weeks. He is looking forward to getting some real-life practice in speaking Spanish, since he has been studying the language for years, and is taking AP Spanish 4 at Mountain View High.

Rahul is one of the Mountain View-Los Altos Union High School District’s Students of the Month for April.

Whiz Kid’s Key to Success: Rahul said, “I’d say my key to success is finding enjoyment in doing productive things. I try to build my routine to where I’m working toward making myself a better person, by pushing myself to choose to do things that I know will help me in the future. I then try to find enjoyment in the routine. In other words, I try to maximize my productive time.”
