Tech Firm Egnyte Moves Into New 30,000-Sq.-Ft. Headquarters in Mountain View

With 150 local employees, the company is adding two to three new hires per week.

Mountain View-based computer technology company Egnyte has just opened the doors to its new 30,000-square-foot corporate headquarters at Middlefield Road and Terra Bella Avenue.

The company, which provides file sharing infrastructure for small, medium and large business enterprises, currently employs more than 200 employees worldwide, with roughly 150 of those in Mountain View.

Hiring at the rate of two to three employees per week, Egnyte officials said it was crucial to have new office space and opted for an open floor plan.

The headquarters was designed from top to bottom by Egnyte executives and is state of the art technology, with digital technology.

The building houses 20 executive offices, six conference rooms, four "restaurant style" booths, two phone booths and an executive board room.

To keep things fun, Egnyte added multiple couches, TVs and game stations, as well as foosball, shuffleboard and ping pong tables.

On Wednesday -- March 21 -- there will be a ribbon-cutting grand opening with Egnyte customers, partners, investors and Mountain View City Officials.
