BOYS SOCCER: St. Francis Defeats Los Gatos in CCS First Round Matchup
Lancers strike twice to fend off Wildcats in playoff dual Wednesday night.

Backed by goals from junior back Peter Marsden and sophomore midfielder Kenny Kobetsky, the St. Francis High-Mountain View boys soccer team defeated Los Gatos High 2-1 Wednesday night in a Central Coast Section Boys Soccer Division II matchup.
After St. Francis recorded the game’s first two tallies, Los Gatos (8-5-5) got on the board with a little over two minutes remaining in the game. The score came from senior defender Andy Heimer.

St. Francis (11-5-6) will now square off against No. 2 seed Pajaro Valley High-Watsonville on Saturday morning.
The game will start at 10 am and will be held at Aptos High.

Los Gatos, the No. 7 seed in the bracket, finished the year with a 2-5-5 record in the rugged Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza division.
