Video: Bryan Stow's Son Throws First Pitch
Tyler Stow officially began the Giants' home opener on Friday.
Although for the San Francisco Giants' home opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday, he couldn't appear in person.
But equally touching was the first pitch thrown out by Stow's son Tyler. Bryan, the Santa Cruz County resident and Santa Clara County EMT who was badly beaten on Opening Day 2011, did appear on screen with his mother to wish Tyler good luck.
A fundraiser was held at Mountain View's Tied House on his behalf.
