Mountain View June Real Estate Update

June is typically a busy month for real estate, and this year did not disappoint!

Fifty-eight properties sold in Mountain View this past June, up from 49 in May.

Inventory continues to be the challenge, as only 91 properties were available for sale, lower than the two previous years.

However, sales are only down 6.5 percent from last year, despite a 46.5 percent reduction in inventory for that same period. Homes sold on average in 26 days, less than both last month and last year. Plus, the average selling price per square foot increased 7.4 percent over May at $509. These are all indicators that we are in a true seller's market.

It's been an exciting time in the office!

Conference rooms are filled, and we are seeing multiple offers again on those properties that show well and are priced correctly. Buyers appreciate homes that are freshly painted and staged, and it reflects in the statistics above. Agents reported good traffic through open houses despite the Father's Day weekend and many graduations in June.
