The FARE 5K Walk/Run for Food Allergy in the Bay Area in Memory of BJ Hom is held in memory of BJ Hom, who died from his peanut allergy during a family vacation in Mexico to celebrate his 18th birthday and high school graduation.
It is one of the 60 walks that take place nationwide and bring together thousands of Americans seeking a safe world for those living with food allergies and to fund food allergy research, education, advocacy and awareness.
NBC Bay Area's Morning News Anchor Laura Garcia Cannon will MC this event.

This free event brings over 12,000 people to our beautiful Memorial Park, (Stevens Creek Blvd/Mary) in Cupertino, and is a showcase of multicultural music, dance, fun kids zone, workshops, arts and crafts, fun, frolic and food.
The purpose of this festival is to get together and celebrate intercultural understanding that promotes economic prosperity.
