Weekend Planner: Outdoor Movie Series, PYT Presents Charlottes' Web

"Let's go to the movies! Let's go see the stars!" The City of Mountain View's Summer Outdoor Movie Night's Series kicks-off once again this Friday, July 12 with Madagascar 3 at Cuesta Park. Bring a blanket or lawn chair to sit on. Free and open to the public. Starts after dark.

Enjoy the childhood classic Charlotte's Web brought to life by Peninsula Youth Theatre at the Mountain View Center for the Performing Arts at 500 Castro St., on Saturday, July 13 at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. and again Sunday, July 14, at 1 p.m.; Ticket information.

Learn how to mulch and help count young trees with Mountain View Trees this Saturday, July 13 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Meet at 859 Sierra Vista Ave., corner of Plymouth St. After the morning session on mulch materials will be distributed for the young tree survey. Light refreshments will be served. A donation of $5-10 is appreciated and tax-deductible.

Los Altos Art & Wine Festival is the Los Altos' big summer festival of the year showcases juried works of artists and craftspeople from over a dozen states. The festival also features select vintages by the glass from local wineries as well as a wide variety of foods. Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14 in downtown Los Altos, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Visit the 21st Palo Alto Clay & Glass Festival this Saturday, July 13th and 14th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the renovated Palo Alto Art Center located at 1313 Newell Rd. There you'll see the region's largest selection of the best traditional and contemporary clay and glass art, featuring 150 juried artists.
