How do we know that Michaels, like Target before it, are not doing this themselves to get everyoneRead More to give up what little freedom we have left? Maybe News12 will investigate? No, that's right... News12 is just a glorified police blotter.

Just so everyone knows, chip and pin would not prevent a breach like this, it would just make itRead More difficult to reproduce a physical card. The real answer is prevent breaches like this is uninterrupted end to end encryption between the PED/swipe and the processor. So many retailers allow the credit card data to flow within their respective networks to be decrypt/re-encrypt 1 or more times paving way to the methods used by malicious folks to harvest that data while in the clear, such as memory scrapers.
Vito Spago April 19, 2014 at 02:11 am
It is becoming obvious that it is time to cut up credit cards and go to cash.

This is what happens when we don't teach teenagers in high school to grow up and be adults. TheyRead More turn into their 20's and have kids and treat their kids the way they treated other classmates in school. Time these people grow up. Starting at 16 you are not a baby and definatly at 24 you are not.

NO -----SHE DESERVES WHAT SHE GOT..- She STABBED STABBED STABBED..she should have gotten the deathRead More penalty.....but michigan has only life in prison. Don't have sympathy for her just because she's a woman. She's a cold blooded killer and deserves what she got.
RON Ostrodamus April 19, 2014 at 12:11 am
The death penalty certainly cuts down on the record number of incarcerations in America. Enough ofRead More this liberal crap on humane punishment. The word "humane' never enters the minds of these cold blooded killers. What is going to happen if another bombing takes place outside of Texas? What is going to happen with the next airplane hijacking, or Boston?

Kevin, I know what entrapment is: inducing someone to commit a crime that the person wouldn'tRead More otherwise commit. It may not be entrapment, but that is because the person refilling his drink may have been unaware that it was not permitted, and therefore did not knowingly commit a crime. Just out of curiosity, when did you develop the amazing ability to read people's mind so that you could ascertain that "in all likelihood, the guy knew the refills were not free"?
HF Homeowner April 19, 2014 at 04:50 am
First of all, READ the article not parts of it! It took place in a FEDERAL BLDG, not in a localRead More restaurantI You don't know the real reason his fine was so high..maybe he refilled his .89 cup more than he's admitting or they're making an example out of him. We need bomb-sniffing police dogs or military dogs. We also need to make the FBI accountable forRead More their failure to follow up on Russian warnings that Tamerlan Tsarnaeyev was being radicalized. The real jihadist in the family was the Tsarnaeyev's brothers' mother. The Russians knew that but didn't send the video proving it to the FBI. Even so, they told the FBI enough that they should have been on their trail, and the FBI blew it. And why weren't they on top of the former Grand Dragon of the Ku Klux Klan who shot to death three non-Jews in an anti-semitic attempt to kill Jews in Overland Park? Why do we allow so much surveillance of citizens when the results are so disappointing? It's not like the FBI is getting the job done. They miss a lot of really big, obvious targets.
