Natalie is a freelance writer, musician, and film festival junkie whose articles are frequently published in Brave New Traveler, a subset of Matador, the largest independent travel publication. She competed against over 400 other writers and took home first place in NYC Midnight's 2010 Flash Fiction Competition.

Natalie graduated with a B.A. in English Literature and minors in Legal Studies and History from UC Santa Cruz. She received her TEFL certification (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 2008.

Recently she has adapted J.M. Barrie's Peter and Wendy for an upcoming production as well as a short stage play of Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty, which is scheduled to premiere on March 13, 2011 at the Dicapo Opera Theatre in Manhattan.

Natalie worked on the front lines of the longest-running film festival in the world, the Edinburgh International Film Festival, in 2007, 2008, and 2009. She composed and performed the soundtrack for a short film, Hotel California, that premiered on the indie scene in the Bay Area.

She is an avid backpacker with an almost unhealthy obsession for travel and international politics. In the past few years she has traveled through South Africa, Mozambique, Morocco, Egypt, Spain, Greece, Malta, Germany, Ireland, France, Latvia, Italy, and Poland. She also lived in Scotland for two years.

In 2010 she worked on the Acquisitions Team for Frank Weimann at The Literary Group International, a literary agency in New York City with over fifty bestsellers in the past decade, including October Sky and Flags of Our Fathers.

Between playing with her Labrador and eating ungodly amounts of jalapenos, she finds just enough time to work on finishing her laboriously-researched historical fiction novel, a war-themed parody of a classic.
