ICA Summer Film Fest: "Strike"

Stanford University’s Division of International, Comparative and Area Studies (ICA) brings you films from around the world that depict inspiring stories of individuals who challenge the status quo, facing adversity with bravery.  A Stanford affiliate will introduce each film and lead a post-show discussion.

Docudrama directed by Volker Schlöndorff

A nearly illiterate woman becomes one of the founders of Poland's Solidarity union. The film is based on real events and filmed in the historic Lenin shipyard in Gdansk.
