Gov. Brown in Mtn. View Today to Discuss 'Next Generation California Dream'

Appearance coincides with The Atlantic's Silicon Valley Summit at Computer History Museum.

Gov. Jerry Brown is set to join a discussion in Mountain View this afternoon with The Atlantic magazine's editor-in-chief James Bennet about the future of innovation.

Brown and Bennet will have a conversation about "The Next Generation California Dream" at 1 p.m. to conclude The Atlantic's Silicon Valley Summit, which began at 8:30 a.m. today at the Computer History Museum, Brown spokesman Andrew Santana said.

The event, titled "Silicon Valley Summit: Listening to the Innovators," included top executives from technology firms such as Microsoft, eBay, Tumblr, Coursera and Khan Academy, and Jennifer Pahlka, the deputy chief technology officer of the U.S., according to The Atlantic's website.

The summit wraps up at 1:30 p.m. today.
