Monday Morning Commuters Can Expect Traffic Jams and Street Closures

President Obama's visit to Mountain View is likely to be bad news for commuters.

President Barack Obama’s 8 a.m. Monday will generate a lot of media coverage and likely also road closures and traffic jams as it did when he visited the area in April.

Mountain View morning commuters should brace themselves for possible closures of the Shoreline Boulevard on- and off-ramps at Highway 101, the closest to the Computer History Museum, for upward of four or five hours. Alternatively, they can try to enter or exit on Rengstorff Avenue or San Antonio Road, the next two exits north of Shoreline Boulevard.

If your company is situated close to public transit options such as Caltrain, this may be the best way of heading to work Monday, traffic-free.

Mountain View Patch will provide an update on the traffic situation as more information becomes available.
